Bi-Directional Amplifiers

New Public Safety Signal Boosters

Bi-Directional Amplifiers System is an emergency communication system that will enhance in-building radio frequency (RF) signal coverage for the safety of those in the building.

2019 New Code Requirements

Honeywell’s Notifier UL2524 listed Bi-Directional Amplifier solution offer the industries best UL listed solution and code approved.

New larger buildings in Colorado with underground structures, low-E glass windows, and concrete or metal construction can greatly benefit from a BDA tied into their fire panel.

What You Need To Know

All existing & newly constructed high-rise buildings are required to have a Radio Frequency Signal Strength Survey completed by December 31, 2019. “IF” required Bi-Directional Amplifier installation by January 1, 2022. Apartments and Condo’s must have installation of BDA “IF” required by 2025.

All buildings with insufficient in-building radio frequency coverage in critical areas of the building must install a ERCES/BDA before JANUARY 1ST 2022. This provides only a short window to install the ERCES/BDA—including retrofitting into existing buildings—into every building with poor in-building radio coverage. All newly installed BDA systems require licensed certified company (CSS) to annually test the system for proper operation per NFPA 72: 9.22.1 (verify code!)
